To test if your Crisco Oil has heated to 375º F, drop a small cube of bread into the pan. If it is surrounded by a ring of bubbles and turns brown in 25 to 30 seconds, the oil has reached the right temperature.
It's important to not crowd the pan with too much food when frying, or the food will steam rather than get crispy and brown.
If you put cold Crisco Oil in a hot pan, the food won't stick.
For stir frying, the key is to fry the ingredients quickly, while constantly stirring to preserve the flavor and texture of each ingredient.
Have all ingredients prepped and ready to go. It's helpful to have the ingredients in small bowls, lined up and ready to add to your hot pan or wok.
